The Quality Technician position is responsible for making sure product meets the customer's standard of quality. This position will report directly to the Quality Supervisor.
Analyze samples to ensure they meet customers' specification -- measurements and other quality attributes.
Assist in the development and methods of processing product, with the aid of data analysis and controlled experiments.
Enter scrap data into database.
Ability to read and understand drawings. Use a tape measure and identify critical dimensions.
Ensure that all parameters of the quality specification are being adhered to and maintained on production floor.
Accurately Document results from quality checks and audits
Report to supervisor any quality issues with production to ensure immediate correction in order to ensure the quality goals are met.
Check testing gauges on line equipment for proper and accurate result achievement.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Conduct and document quality audits on the Quality Management System.
Will also assist in the evaluation and improves effectiveness of industrial equipment and the production processes.
Communicate effectively to all areas with notification of existing or potential quality concerns. This will include giving direction and instructions to any of operation group regarding specification, or how to establish achieve and maintain specifications.
