SCOPE

Reporting to the Director IT, Dynamics Global Support this position is responsible for all aspects of Microsoft Dynamics AX application engineering, operational, and Helpdesk support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work on small projects leading the support and operational task.
  • Greater knowledge and understanding of Dynamics AX 2009 functionality
  • Manage training classes for the AX support team on AX 2009 functionality to have a better educated team for supporting the end users
  • Manages the Help Desk queues for non-Operational related issues and resolves or escalates.
  • Review the 1st level support model in regards to the Dentsply Support Agreement with Tectura
  • Manage the 2nd and 3rd level support model in regards to the Dentsply helpdesk ticket system
  • Manage the Top 10 list of helpdesk tickets for assigned divisions by keeping helpdesk updated
  • Develop an excellent working relationship with the Dynamics AX Super Users, AX support team, each business process team, and as well as 3rd party support organizations.
  • Need to be highly structured and disciplined to keep activities moving on helpdesk tickets to completion
  • High organizational skill set is required to keep track of day to day activities
  • Create and submit monthly reports to management to generate high level statistical reports based on all divisions
  • Document business/system requirements and process flows including use case definition and modelling and creating functional specifications
  • Work with the architects and developers to translate requirements to system design and configure AX to satisfy requirements
  • Create test plans, test cases, and perform functional testing
  • Translate complex business processes into deployable and functional solutions
  • Interact with AX business leads on problem solving and function designs.
  • Develop understanding of the Dynamics AX Infrastructure, Citrix, and relevant 3rd party products , including but not limited to: RFSmart, Bartender, Atlas, Data Masons, etc.
  • Continuous Observation & Analysis of computer system workload, Diagnose, Troubleshoot and Resolve information system issues conferring with all teams impacted as needed
  • Anticipate, Monitor, Diagnose, Analyze & Recommend / Resolve System Performance
  • Writes and maintains work Instructions for new and existing systems.
  • Develops and maintains SOX and FDA compliance procedures.
  • TYPICAL BACKGROUND

    Skills: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2008 R2, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5, Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0/AX 2009, MS Office Applications; Word, Excel, and Power Point, ability to demonstrate organizational skills.

    Education & Experience:

  • B.S. required, a degree in a related area (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology), or three years or more of required technical experience
  • Knowledge of Dynamics AX
