Job Details Location: Niles, MI Department: Radiology SJ - Manager Diagnostic Imaging Status: Part time Shift: Day (United States of America) Hours: Variable, As NeededJob Summary Perform an extensive range of nuclear medicine procedures. Assume responsibility and maintain the general care and safety of patients during diagnostic imaging procedures. Must be certified and registered in nuclear medicine by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) at time of hire, or within a defined time period established by Lakeland if not certified at time of hire. BCLS. Perform an extensive range of nuclear medicine procedures including SPECT, dynamic and static imaging. Operate nuclear medicine equipment and accessories. Prepare and administer appropriate dosages of radiopharmaceuticals. Receive and check radionuclide shipments for contamination. Perform instrument quality control procedures and record status and results. Utilize the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Check operation and calibrates survey equipment and monitoring devices against known standards. Perform clerical duties related to patient chart documentation and PACS document scanning. Apply principles of radiation safety and practices ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). Responsible for assigned call. Dispose of radioactive and contaminated materials per facility and federal protocols and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.
